iAretes is a specialist engineering firm based in Chennai, India. We build production-grade data infrastructure and AI systems for companies that need them to actually work.
The name
Aretes (ἀρετή): Greek for excellence through practice.
In ancient Greek philosophy, aretes refers to the virtue achieved not by accident but through consistent, disciplined effort: excellence as a habit, not a one-time event. That is how we think about engineering. Not impressive demos. Not hero moments. Just systems that work, every day, at scale, over time.
What we do
We build the systems engineering teams actually need.
Most companies reach a point where their data infrastructure can’t keep up: pipelines are slow, AI projects are stuck in notebooks, and the team is fighting fires instead of building. That is where we come in.
